Get to Know Me
Erin attended St. Helen’s School (now St. Kateri School), Hillside Elementary, Van Antwerp Middle and Niskayuna High School. She met her husband Zak in 4th grade at Hillside, after noticing his kickball skills during recess. She attended The College of Saint Rose and SUNY Albany, earning a B.S. in Business Administration/Marketing; M.B.A with a concentration in Management, Certificate of Advanced Study in School District Business Leadership and Masters in Education Policy & Leadership. A doctoral candidate in Education Policy & Leadership, Erin researched high school entrepreneurship education programs. Professionally, she has relevant experience in governmental accounting and budgeting, emergency management/safety, capital projects, and education technology/curriculum.
Erin and her husband Zak live in the Rosendale Estates neighborhood with their three children, Ceci, Estella, and Dakota, who will inevitably be mortified to be included on this website. The two family puggles, Frank and Steve, who patrol their front lawn regularly, will be disappointed there is no picture of them.
Erin comes from a large, growing family. Her parents are long-time volunteers for various Niskayuna organizations, and her sisters and brothers-in-law are actively involved in Niskayuna youth sports programs and other organizations. With multiple generations living in Niskayuna, Erin has a keen awareness of the needs of Niskayuna families of all stages of life.
